Sports Night in Toronto,Canada Attracted Zoroastrians of All Ages
"Zoroastrians of all ages attended the latest Sports Night event held by the Zoroastrian Society of Ontario (ZSO) on September 13, 2008", Mehrzad Dehmiri, member of ZSO-Kanoun, told WZNN. The program included games (such as table tennis, cards and carrom), dinner (courtesy of Aban Vazir) and dancing (DJ’ed by Mehrzad Dehmiri).
Mobed Kerman Katrak the organizer of the “Sports Nights” told WZNN that the program is a series of monthly gatherings aimed at bringing the Zoroastrian community especially the youth together and providing them with the opportunity to socialize and make new friends. It has started off over three years ago by the sports sub-committee of ZSO and under the leadership of Mobed Kerman Katrak. Since its beginning, the program has been successful in attracting Zoroastrians of all ages who come from all corners of the city and also from USA.
